Xavier Nixon was a basketball guy his freshman and sophomore year and at 6-foot-6 and 275 pounds, the Fayetteville (N.C.) Jack Britt prospect was a good one. But football coach Richard Bailey convinced Nixon and his family that it was on the gridiron where he could be a standout and that has proven true.
