Florida State hoping to land Lincoln safety
The Lincoln pipeline to Florida State has been well documented. In fact, two of the best defensive backs/safeties in Lincoln history played their college ball at FSU. Antonio Cromartie and Pat Watkins both excelled at Lincoln, then at FSU, and now both are starting in the National Football League.
Jawanza Starling could be the next great defensive player to come out of Lincoln and the 'Noles hope he follows suit and stays home in Tallahassee.
"They've got a lot of pride and tradition," said Starling. "They graduate their players and still have that swagger.
"Antonio came to talk to us a few times, I haven't had a chance to talk to him one on one," said Starling.
