Guidance helps Gray's rise
Gary Gray knew where to turn for advice. Saddled with two injuries, one surgery and zero playing time last year, the cornerback needed support beyond what any college football program could provide. So Gray dialed his godfather and former coach Duane Wages, often two or three times per day, to stay on track. That difficult ride could help the Irish defense next season.
