Releford talks about trip to Germany, KU's run
Travis Releford recently returned home after spending two weeks in Germany. In participating in the Albert Switzer games, the 6-foot-5, 190-pound shooting guard from Bishop Miege High School in Shawnee Mission, Kan., representing USA on the hardwood. Jayhawk Slant spoke to Releford about his time in Germany and KU's run the to Final Four.
Make no mistake about it; playing for the United States in the Albert Switzer games was an honor in itself for Releford and his teammates. However, that doesn't make it any less disappointing that the USA team failed to qualify for a medal.
