Chaisson believes in honesty
In this day and age of press conferences to announce narrowing a list of choices to 20, it's always a welcome sight to find character among highly recruited high school prospects. Las Vegas Bishop Gorman's Justin Chaisson surprised everyone on Tuesday by making his decision to join the Oklahoma Sooners.
As it turns out it was his respect for the other coaches in his recruitment that forced the decision of the 6-foot-5, 252-pound pass rusher. In fact he was trying to keep the fact that he was leaning towards the Sooners quiet, but finally just gave into the temptations.
"It didn't really get out, but it was to the point, I didn't really want to play the coaches," Chaisson said. "I wanted to tell them the real truth. Oklahoma, that is the best fit for me."
