O'Brien has good showing at NIKE
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Under the direction of David Cutcliffe, big quarterbacks with strong arms and above average athletic abilities will quickly become a staple of the Duke football program. On Friday, Kernersville (N.C.) East Forsyth signal caller Danny O'Brien showed that he has all the tools to meet those preferences and become a very successful player on the collegiate level.
The 6-foot-4, 198 pounder recently showed very well at the North Carolina Shrine Bowl Combine in Apex, N.C., where he ran the 40 yard dash in 4.64 seconds. In Chapel Hill at the NIKE Training Camp, O'Brien displayed his strong arm, his improved footwork and willingness to be coached. By the end of the event, the junior said he felt good about his performance and what he gained from the experience.
