Harris ready to repeat historic season
Livingston High School ended a four-decade long postseason drought with a bang last season as the Lions marched to the third round of the playoffs. A big part of the reason for the team's success was quarterback Dustin Harris.
The 6-foot, 160-pound athlete committed to Texas A&M as a cornerback after a strong camp showing earlier this summer, but that does not mean he is resting on his laurels for his senior year.
"I've been working really hard this summer," Harris said. "I've mostly been working with coach (Randy) Rowe on getting faster and stronger. We've been doing two-a-days for a while now. As a matter of fact, our first scrimmage is on Saturday. Montgomery is coming here to play us in Livingston.
"I might play corner a little bit this year. It just depends on if coach Rowe needs me back there or if he makes the decision to put me back there."
