WVU offensive line story has two sides
MORGANTOWN--With All-American tackle Ryan Stanchek and All-Big East guard Greg Isdaner teaming up on the left side of West Virginia University's offensive line, it's easy to forget just how talented the other side of the unit is. But Selvish Capers and Jake Figner lend symmetry to perhaps the most balanced offensive line in the nation.
Along with center Mike Dent, the five behemoths will spearhead what figures to be yet another stellar Mountaineer rushing attack. After all, five of the eight returning full-time starters from last season's prolific offense come from the offensive line. A sixth lineman, backup right tackle Stephen Maw, acquitted himself beautifully in the Fiesta Bowl victory over Oklahoma, when he started in place of the injured Capers. In short, the veteran unit is one of the main reasons the No. 8 Mountaineers are largely expected to pick up right where they left off in recent seasons.
