View from a coach: Future looks bright
Last Saturday at Kyle Field, fans saw the type of football players Texas A&M used to have on the field and the type of recruits that the present coaches are trying to lure to Aggieland. With the exception of Mike Goodson and possibly Jerrod Johnson, the Hurricanes were bigger or faster at almost every position.
Still, as dismal the situation might seem, it was the A&M itself that did the most damage to the Aggies. That is encouraging from a sense that those mistakes are correctable with continued hard work on the practice field and the continued development of A&M's young players. For example, a blown coverage or missed communication on a pass play just before half and two second half turnovers made up 21 points in a 18-point defeat.
Let us look at the game plan and what went right that gives hope for the future.
