This one was a nail biter, which started of rather slowly. Quizz was Quizz though and ran for 133 big yards and added another 55 yards through the air while brother James added 102 receiving yards to the mix. Yep, that's right, the Rodgers' brothers combined for 78% of the Beavers offense against the Sun Devils. To say that it was quite a night for Quon and Quizz would be an understatement.
And while the Rodgers' were doing their thing, Shane Morales and Sammie Stroughter continued to do theirs. Morales again showed why he is the Beavers 'go to' receiver as he seems to have glue on his hands, while Stroughter made some clutch catches as well.
The offensive line had a good night, although I wouldn't call it their best performance of the year. They only allowed one sack, but the quarterbacks had a lot of pressure and Lyle Moevao and Sean Canfield took some tough hits
one that knocked Moevao out of the game. It was great to see Tavita Thompson back in the lineup, and I only saw a few times where he looked a bit rusty. My game ball goes to Canfield though. After not seeing significant playing time in a PAC 10 game in nearly a year, Canfield showed a great deal of poise in coming in for the injured Moevao, especially given that he doesn't practice with the first team and it is a major adjustment for everyone when a new quarterback steps in. After one interception, Canfield settled into his role and finished the night 19-28 for 218 yards and two touchdowns. It was great to see him back in action and we now know that the Beavers have two good options at quarterback.
