Giant Killer Stone Award-Big D in the Desert

It was definitely a battle in the desert with both defenses coming out fired up and ready to play. After a stellar performace last week against California, the Beaver defense actually gave up a few more yards on the ground than expected, but to their credit, they did contain senior gunslinger Willie Tuitama to 158 yards passing.
A familiar name tops this week's Giant Killer Stone Award list as safety Greg Laybourn earned his third award of the season. Laybourn tallied a team high 11 tackles, including 1.5 tackles for loss. Fellow safety, Al Afalava had a strong game as well, including six tackles.
