After missing his senior season at Lincoln High School in Portland, Ore., with a knee injury, 6-foot-4, 275-pound freshman defensive lineman Ethan Johnson came to Notre Dame with an open mind and measured expectations. But now that he has gotten his feet wet, and with the imminent departure of defensive lineman Pat Kuntz and Justin Brown, Johnson has set new goals for '09.
