Chandler makes the move
It's déjà vu all over again for Bruin sophomore, dare we say it, tight end, Nate Chandler. There has never been any doubt that Chandler has been a team first guy ever since he arrived and once again he has put team ahead of self. Chandler met with the media to talk about his move back to tight end.
You are being moved back to tight end, What are your comments on that?
Chandler: "I talked to Coach Neuheisel this morning, obviously Logan Paulsen went down and we are short at tight end so they need some help and it looks like it is going to be the last change for me so I guess I'm going to be focusing on this position (tight end).
"I didn't feel too bad today, running and stuff. I was a little winded, but I can get back into shape. Other than that I am open to helping the team out this season."
Is it a different kind of conditioning that you need to have playing offensive line, opposed to tight end?
Chandler: "Not so much, because I've always been able to move around and stuff. I have always been able to run. Not running routes kind of threw me off, but getting back into the groove with things with tight end, you could tell from the beginning to the end of practice how things changed. The techniques and stuff have changed, the speed of blocking and how fast you have to go, stuff like that."
