Shortly after signing day in February of 2008, Euless (Texas) Trinity defensive back Eryon Barnett decided to make a commitment to the Texas Longhorns.

The 6-3, 195-pound defender chose Texas over interest from Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Miami, TCU, Texas Tech, and Penn State, and after giving his pledge received interest from several top BCS programs.
