JEFFERSON - It's not difficult to pick out Isaiah Crowell standing in a crowd.
Although he's just a rising junior at Carver-Columbus High, the 6-foot, 195-pounder already looks like he should be playing college ball.
He will soon enough.
Although he's just completing his sophomore year, Crowell could well become the crown jewel of state running backs in 2011, as evidenced by the fact that he already has verbal offers from the likes of Georgia, Clemson, Florida, LSU, Miami, Oregon and Southern Cal.
"I'm just trying to stay humble, because I don't want to get the big head or anything," Crowell told UGASports. "If I do that, I'll fall off and get myself in trouble. I've just got to stay humble."
Crowell already plans on visiting several schools this summer.
That list includes Georgia, Florida, Alabama and Tennessee, but there's one school he's particularly excited about checking out first hand.
"I like Florida a lot but I really don't have a leader. It's so early for me. I think point I am just trying to take everything very seriously and with a purpose. I just hope I am one day in that situation (to be recruited). Right now I like Florida, Georgia, Clemson and Alabama."
Described by Rivals.com's Jamie Newberg as a "tough runner with good speed and quickness," Crowell also runs with power and possesses an excellent burst.
"I know there are still some things that I need to improve," he said. "I need to keep my feet better and run hard. But those things will come as I get bigger."
