SoCal QB has 'it'
There is another quarterback from SoCal to keep your eye on for the class of 2010 in Cody Fajardo (6-2, 195, 4.7) from Anaheim (Calif.) Servite. He was at the recent NIKE Camp up in Palo Alto and was very impressive. He has obviously worked very hard in the offseason and has shown great improvement.
As a junior, Fajardo threw for 1,588 yards and 15 touchdowns, while hitting on 65.1 percent of his passes, which is now a new school record. He can also hurt you with his feet as he rushed for 575 yards and scored nine rushing touchdowns.
Servite coach Troy Thomas spoke very highly of his young signal caller.
"I believe he is one of the best quarterbacks, if not the best, I have ever coached," Thomas said. "He's as good or better than Dan Klein (class 2006), who had offers from Cal, Washington State, and Utah, but is now pitching at UCLA on scholarship."
"Cody is as good, or better, than our quarterback last year, Johnny McEntee, who is at the University of Connecticut and is third on the depth chart after his freshman campaign," Thomas said. "Cody has the "IT" factor that you do not see very often."
"(USC linebacker) Chris Galippo has "it". I have had only a couple of guys that have had that quality. He definitely is one of them."
