Bruin offense coming around
With camp edging ever closer it was a good thing to see that the offense had their best day as unit. If truth be told, the offense won the day for the 7-on-7 competition. It was the first time this spring where an interception(s) wasn't noticed. It was a session that would give even the biggest cynic something to smile about.
It must be said 7-on-7s favor the offense and they should win. After all, quarterbacks and wide receivers don't have to worry about defenders trying to remove their body parts from their body.
The defense dominated this summer's 7-on-on7s until Thursday evening.
Back in fold was starting quarterback, Kevin Prince, who missed a couple of sessions due to the flu. The players informed me that the flu bug hit the team and thankfully it appears to have run its course and the players should all be healthy by the time training camp.
Prince missed on his first throw and didn't have his usual zip because of the lingering effects of the flu, but he threw on time and to the right guy.
