Practice Insider: Trojans leave town
The Trojan's final practice in Los Angeles before facing Ohio State was unlike any other USC practice. There were no throngs of fans waiting to mob players for autographs, no pictures with Pete Carroll and no interviews with the media.
Instead, head coach Carroll wanted his players focused from the time they stepped on the field today to the time they step off the field in Columbus.
"We have to handle the trip well," Carroll said. "We have to make sure everyone stays focused and in tune with what we're doing. By game time we have to care of the football. If we don't do that, we won't have a chance. Hopefully we can get out of there with a really good win."
