Through the first two games the Seminoles' rushing offense has been nothing to write home about. Despite returning an entire offensive line that helped FSU average 179 yards a game on the ground last season, that number has been cut nearly in half at 94 yards a game so far in 2009.
With the return of a healthy Jermaine Thomas, who averaged seven yards a carry as a freshman in 2008, many felt the ground game would get a boost for this weekend's BYU game. However, the coaching staff made it clear that sophomore Ty Jones, who started last week, would likely remain as the No. 1 tailback.
