Catching up with James Dockery
Coming into this season, there were a few position groups that had question marks surrounding them and how productive they would be. One of those sets of those groups was the defensive backfield and specifically, the corners.
After losing 4 year starters, cornerbacks Keenan Lewis, Brandon Hughes and safety Al Afalava, to the league that plays on Sundays, the Beavers would be breaking in a group of four new starters that had a combined 8 starts between them.
Some people questioned whether this year would be a repeat of 2005, the last time the Beavers broke in an all new secondary. Others found solace in the fact that the players stepping in to fill the shoes of those that are now in the NFL, weren't redshirt freshmen like in 2005 and they all have in fact seen fair amounts of playing time.
Whether it's Tim Clark being a senior that has essentially been the third corner ever since he was a sophomore or Suaesi Tuimaunei being a special teams standout last year, the Beavers have some experience in the secondary.
