Turner's recruitment changing positions
Arlington Sam Houston junior dual-threat quarterback Jamal Turner already has over 1,000 total yards going into the last four games of the 2009 season. Not only that, he's currently leading the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex in rushing and is hitting over 60-percent of his passes.
Originally thought to be a receiver or defensive back at the next level, college coaches are beginning to see the 6-foot-1, 170-pounder as a signal caller in college.
So far Turner only has a scholarship offer from Nebraska, but the class of 2011 prospect is also gaining interest from Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Maryland and TCU.
