Rivals100 DE begins visits on the Plains
Mobile, Ala., McGill-Toolen defensive end Sidell Corley isn't like the majority of high school juniors. Instead of going to the beach for spring break, the 6-foot-4, 250-pounder is doing research.
However, he's not doing it in the library, but rather on college campuses throughout the South.
On Monday, he got his trip started off with a visit to Auburn.
"I got to Auburn around 8 o'clock that morning," he said. "When I first got there, they gave me a tour of the whole campus. The last time I was there, I just saw the athletic facilities. Auburn's campus is bigger than I thought it was. It was nice."
Corley then met with a handful of Tiger coaches including head man Tommy Tuberville, recruiting coach James Willis, defensive coordinator Will Muschamp and defensive ends coach Terry Price.
Corley's biggest concern with Auburn was the Tigers' depth chart at defensive end. However, after meeting with Price, that concern is no longer there.
"I first went with coach Price and we watched some film. He wrote down the depth chart and we talked about that," said Corley. "I thought the depth chart was really full at my position, but he broke it down for me and showed me I would have a chance to play early if I went there."
