What can Brown do for K-State?
The list of schools that offered scholarships to Kansas State freshman Lamark Brown reads like a first-grade geography book. Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Tennessee, Arkansas, Indiana and Minnesota along with a few other schools vied for the services of the four-star athlete during his senior season at Missouri's Hazelwood West High School, but when Brown decided to make the transition from high school to college at Kansas State, he was also forced to make the transition from running back to wide receiver.
Brown doesn't claim to be a polished wide receiver at this point, but hopes to see that perception change before the Wildcats' season opener at Auburn however.
"I'm coming along," Brown said. "I'm getting a lot better at it than what I thought I'd be right now. I just think if I keep working hard the transition will be a lot easier than it seems like right now,"
The converted running back admits he has encountered some growing pains during the position shift he was forced to make upon his arrival in Manhattan, but one constant among Brown's many past athletic endeavors is one simple word: Success.
