Georgia cornerback Thomas Flowers doesn't pretend to care about the past in regards to Florida's recent run of success against the Bulldogs.
When asked if he was aware that the Gators hold a 15-2 edge over Georgia dating back to 1990, Flowers simply shrugged.
What happened in the past doesn't mean a hill of beans to him.
"We just focus on the momentum that we have, especially from last week when we had a bye week," Flowers said. "We need to take that momentum, go into the Florida game and bam. We got the edge, if you think about it.
"Technically, we've got the edge, we've got the bye week, we had the extra week to prepare, and we've got the edge. We can't continue to talk about blasť, blasť, they've won this many games in the past. No. Stop. This is a new year. This is 2007. Let's go out there and get this win."
Flowers is one of a handful of Bulldog seniors on the 2007 squad who played as freshmen in 2004 when Georgia last beat the Gators, 31-24.
Safety Kelin Johnson was there, too.
"It was just a good experience, one we need to have Saturday," Johnson said. "In 2004 we had a lot of big-name guys on the team but that was not the key to us winning the game. It was enthusiasm.
