Wednesday practice report
The Alabama football team continued preparations for its Southeastern Conference home opener with a full-pad practice at the Thomas-Drew Practice Facility Tuesday. Here are some observations from the media viewing period from BamaOnLine.com.
*** Mike McCoy and Preston Dial both participated in individual drills on Wednesday, but continued to work in black jerseys. McCoy, who pulled his hamstring against Georgia, and Dial, who had his knee scoped, will most likely be doubtful for the Crimson Tide's game against the Kentucky Wildcats. Nikita Stover or Marquis Maze would probably start in the place of McCoy.
*** Mark Ingram continued to look healthy in practice on Wednesday. Ingram sat out the last three quarters of the Tide's win in Athens with a bruised knee.
*** Glen Coffee and the Crimson Tide running backs practiced blocking during individual drills on Wednesday. The running backs will be needed to help give John Parker Wilson protection from a good Kentucky defense.
*** UA will return to the practice field on Thursday to wrap up preparation for the Kentucky Wildcats.
