SoCal speedster flat out flies
Speed kills, as the old saying goes, and nothing is more deadly on the gridiron than a flyer in open field. Add into the mix quickness and explosion then you have a rare player who can make the opposition hold their breath and fans as well, than a speedster getting just a bit of space because you know there is the possibility that he could go all the way.
Athlete prospect De'Shawn Beck (5-10, 170, 4.38) from Los Angeles (Calif.) Jordan fits the mold of that dangerous player that makes the opposition sweat every time he touches the ball. He has that type of speed.
"De'Shawn ran a 4.49 electronic 40 recently at the Los Angeles NIKE Combine," Jordan head coach Elijah Asante said. "He had the highest SPARQ Ranking out over 900 athletes with a score of 108.3. He ran 4.38 hand held at another recent camp."
The thing that makes Beck such a special athlete is he's been a starter since his freshman season on both sides of ball playing wide receiver and corner.
