Scales at home in Aggieland
In January, Killeen offensive lineman Rhontae Scales was being recruited by Texas A&M. Now. just a short time later, he's a recruiter for them.
The 6-foot-5, 299 pound junior attended the spring game at Texas A&M this past weekend where he met several other prospects and their families. When they found out that he was committed to the Aggies, many asked him why and Scales was happy to answer.
"I told them that I looked at the academic program and the football program and how close the coaches were to the players," he said. "I may even change my major to sports management. Right now it is psychology. A lot of players talked about getting a degree in sports management. I may be an agent. If I don't make it in the NFL, I would have a good job that has to do with sports."
