"I want to announce that I will be playing for the Hawkeyes next year," said Derby.

Along with Iowa, Derby also held scholarship offers from Florida, Alabama, Miami, Florida State, Michigan, LSU, Illinois, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Stanford, Kansas, Kansas State, Cincinnati, and South Florida, among others.
Rivals.com ranks the four-star prospect as the No. 1 player in the state of Iowa this year.
