Coaches: Three best linebackers will play

Senior outside linebacker A.J. Jones has started 30 games at Florida, so it was somewhat surprising when he said last week none of the Gators linebackers, including himself, had secured "any jobs yet."

Was he serious, or was he simply implying that he was taking nothing for granted?

The answer may have come Monday.

While discussing the linebackers as a whole, D.J. Durkin, the assistant who coaches the group, said matter-of-factly the Gators were looking for the "combination of the best three."

To help achieve that, Durkin said Florida has continued "cross-training" all its linebackers, something it started doing this spring. The reasoning was simple, he explained.
