Spring Recap: Talent, and questions abound

The message to Florida's wide receivers was simple heading into spring: If you're a playmaker, show it.

After a season in which the team's leading wide out caught 10 passes less than a running back, the Gators are in serious need of production out of their wide receivers. By bringing in new offensive coordinator Brent Pease, Florida got something of an additional wide receivers coach, as Pease's background features extensive work coaching the position.

The end results of spring were mixed. The wide outs struggled to get involved in the action of the Orange and Blue Debut early, initially making the Gators' offense look very similar to how it did a year ago. The receivers caught on later in the game, but still left plenty for the Gator Nation to talk - and worry - about.
