First half recruiting cycle superlatives

With fifteen prospects already publicly committed in a class that is likely to include twenty-eight signees in all, and right at five and a half months until signing day, the University of Florida has reached the halfway point in this recruiting cycle. GatorBait.net has looked back over the first half and awarded these superlatives.


MVP (Most Valuable Prospect): The easy answer would be Torrey Davis, who is the only five-star in the class thus far and as the No. 7 rated prospect on the Rivals100, easily the highest rated commitment. However, the vote here goes to Lakeland, Fla., athlete Chris Rainey whose commitment eventually led to five other Lakeland prospects casting their lot with the Gators as well.
