UCLA deep at running back
For those who have been out to practice the first two days it is abundantly clear that the Bruins are loaded with talented running backs. The competition at that position is going to be very intense.
So much so that Rick Neuheisel addressed the situation after Friday's practice. Just a reminder, Saturday's practice will start at 11:30 AM, not 11:00 as it was originally scheduled.
The following is the after practice discussion between the media and Neuheisel.
Getting enough work and enough looks at all the running backs you have, how do you manage that?
Neuheisel: "That's a hard one. I don't know if there is a magic potion. You love to have three teams doing it like they did in the old days at Nebraska, but the numbers are such that it isn't possible so guys have to really learn and also they have to learn vicariously. They have to be able to take somebody else's rep and put that in their own computer and make sure that the time they get an opportunity to have that same kind of look that they take advantage of it, but I think the job is very difficult when you have one position and you have a log jam there. It is just hard."
