Practice Insider: USC still waiting on Barkley
With kickoff at Husky Stadium looming over the USC football team, there are still questions over who will be looming large at quarterback for the Trojans' game at Washington.
But the clues are becoming clearer, as freshman Matt Barkley didn't practice for the third-straight day, and Aaron Corp took all of the first-team reps.
"Here's what we know," USC head coach Pete Carroll said. "We know that Aaron's put together a couple of really good days for us, and we know we're getting him ready to play. We're going to wait and see how it turns out for Matt, and just wait it out."
But the clock is ticking.
Quarterbacks coach Jeremy Bates said he wants to see a starter named as soon as possible, and if Barkley's not practicing, it becomes much tougher, albeit not impossible, to start the true freshman Saturday.
