Anderson seeing his stock rise
Cibolo Steele defensive tackle Marquis Anderson and his teammates had a fine 2009 season as they wound up in the third round of the Class 4A playoffs before bowing to state-ranked Lake Travis at the Alamodome. However, you would not know it by talking Anderson who is already contemplating a 2010 season in which Steele moves up a level in competition.
The 6-foot-3, 262-pound Anderson has a run a 4.9-second 40-yard dash and is currently the 21st-ranked prospect in the 2011 AY Texas Top 50 and the second best defensive tackle prospect in thatsame ranking. He's already received offers from schools such as Baylor, Houston, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M and Texas Tech and is drawing interest from other BCS programs around the country.
