Self, Jayhawks shift focus to academics

For the first time this season, basketball isn't at the top of the priority list for Bill Self and top-ranked Kansas (9-0; 0-0). Instead, the focus has shifted to finals week, which means finishing strong academically has moved to the forefront for Self and the Jayhawks. When Kansas does make its return to the court, the Jayhawks will welcome two players who, for different reasons, were forced to sit out the first semester.

Having started the season at the top of the polls, Self's squad certainly hasn't disappointed. After nine games, the Jayhawks are averaging 90.3 points per game. Defensively, KU gives-up an average of just 57.6 points per game.
