Oakland ATH looking forward to Corvallis trip

It has already been discussed how big this upcoming weekend is for Oregon State recruiting. Besides hosting a handful of commits the Beavers are welcoming some of their top targets as well including ATH Ryan Murphy from Oakland (Calif.) Tech.

Murphy burst onto the recruiting scene during the year with impressive performances on both offense and defense. The Beavers are recruiting Murphy as an athlete where he projects as a safety or running back.

Oregon State was the first to offer Murphy after Coach Riley watched an Oakland Tech game. After the Beavers offered things really started picking up for

Murphy has been busy taking his official visits. He has already visited Washington State, Arizona State and UCLA, but it his visit to Oregon State this weekend that has him excited. He welcomed Oregon State coaches into his home last week and is getting closer to pulling the trigger.

"Coach Riley, Coach Heyward, and Coach Seumalo made an in-home visit last week," Murphy confirmed. "It went well. I mean I already feel comfortable with the coaches, but they informed my Mom about the academic parts of the school and the program."
