Big OT changes mind, picks Dawgs
One day after missing out on recruits Jeff Whitaker and Telvin Smith, Georgia received some good news on the recruiting front with word that Greenville High tackle Kenarious Gates has committed to play for the Bulldogs.
The former Kentucky verbal commitment is expected to sign with Georgia Wednesday morning.
"Kenarious was offered and changed his mind," Greenville High coach Jeremy Williams said Tuesday afternoon. "He is now committed to the University of Georgia.
The 6-foot-5, 285-pound tackle becomes the third offensive lineman to verbally commit to the Bulldogs this year, joining Buford's Kolton Houston and Brent Benedict of The Bolles School in Jacksonville.
Besides Kentucky, Gates also had offers from Vanderbilt and Mississippi State.
