K-State's season ends in Elite Eight

SALT LAKE CITY -- Kansas State wasn't afraid to be great. But the magical season for the second-seeded Wildcats ended Saturday because they simply weren't quite good enough in a 63-56 loss to fifth-seeded Butler in the West Region finals in front of 17,587 at EnergySolutions Arena. At the end, even the most energetic player on the court, Denis Clemente, who had a team-high 18 points, was too emotionally drained to stand and walk off the court in his final game in a Wildcats uniform.
