Former 5-star Kadji leaving Gators

Kenny Kadji, a five-star recruit out of high school whose college career never flourished in Gainesville, is leaving the Florida Gators basketball program. Kadji asked for, and was granted his release, Florida coach Billy Donovan announced Friday.

"After re-evaluating his situation, Kenny and I had the opportunity
to sit down and talk about his future," Donovan said in a release. "Kenny has made a decision that it's in his best interest to start new somewhere else. He's still recovering from back surgery and working hard to get himself healthy. I wish him the best in his future."

A 6-foot-10 center, Kadji appeared in 42 games in two seasons at UF, averaging 3.7 points and 2.3 rebounds per game.
