Bulldogs preparing for opener

Mississippi State began their final week of fall camp on Tuesday afternoon.

Even with the season opener still nearly two weeks away the Bulldogs have already started their preparations for Memphis.

"I guess we've been preparing for Memphis since day one coming in here," said head coach Dan Mullen. "They're a new staff so we don't have film on them from last year and what they did. So you really got to be good at what you do."

Following two days of rest MSU's practice Tuesday was working primarily in game simulated drills.

"We're getting more and more closer to the game so (it was) a lot of game situations," Mullen said.

Mullen stated that Friday's scrimmage gave him a good idea of what the depth chart will look like but would still continue to work players into the rotation at practice.
