Larimore emerging as star
Sophomore linebacker Patrick Larimore had an outstanding first game as a starter and it is a good bet that he could turn into a star. In his first outing, Larimore made his presence known by racking up seven tackles, two tackles for loss that accounted negative 11 yards, one sack for a minus 10 yards and one forced fumble.
Not only did K-State make adjustments and made sure that there was big accounting for Larimore, but they concentrated their running attack to getting around the edge and were successful. That was one of the differences of the game.
Larimore talked with BruinBlitz.com after Tuesday's practice.
BruinBlitz.com: Outstanding first game as a collegiate where you received a lot of action. How do you feel?
Larimore: "I think I made some good plays, but also definitely made some mistakes and I need to correct them. There is definitely a lot of room for improvement from me and the whole defense. I think we grew a lot from that game. We came out today and practiced hard. We're going to keep doing that."
