Q&A with UF offensive coordinator Addazio

Florida offensive coordinator Steve Addazio met with reporters Tuesday and discussed an array of topics, from John Brantley's progress, to the offense's slow starts, to Marcus Gilbert's development at tackle. Here's a recap.

On quarterback John Brantley:
"He's really done a great job of working hard. I like where he's headed right now. I like his mindset. There's no substitute for experience and experience is games. You can see the growth. We're real happy about that. That's what we're striving for in the whole offense."

Does the issue with receiver Chris Rainey elevate Robert Clark in the offense?
"Right now, we're just getting ready for our Tuesday practice. I'm going to run right back up (to the office), get scripted in and get going. All those things are premature for me."

What's Rainey's status?
"Chris Rainey is not part of our team right now. That's all I really have to say on that. I know you guys can appreciate that. I'd really rather talk about getting ready for this game. It's a chance to play Tennessee man. We're on the road, first SEC game."
