Fresno State gets bum rushed in 55-38 loss

The Fresno Sttae Bulldogs went into the game vs Ole Miss looking for its frist win ever against a SEC opponent. They left however with a 55-38 loss to the Rebels. The Bulldogs defense just couldnt stop the Rebels runnig game allowing 425 yards on the ground including 228 yards and two touchdowns to Brandon Boldon. Jeremiah Masoli finised 8-12 for 153 yards and two touchdown passes.

Bright sport for the Bulldogs was senior quarter back Ryan Colburn who had another strong effort going 32-42 for 390 yards and four touchdowns. Also junio reciever Jamel Hamler had eight cathces for 130 yardds and one touchdown.

The dogs failed to get their running game going gaining only 30 yards on the ground. Fresno State's defense gave up 6 plays of over 50 yards including a back breaking 71 yard touchdown run to Bolden on the first play of the second half.

With the loss the Bulldogs fall to 2-1 on the season while Ole Miss improves to 2-2. Next up for the 'Dogs a game vs Cal Poly whcih is the firt of three striaght games at Bulldog Staidum. Stay tuned to TheBulldogreport.com for more coverage of the loss to Ole Miss.
