Sooners Trying to Change Fortune in Motown

While it was the city of Detroit where Billy Sims played his professional football nearly 28 years ago and more recently with Teddy Lehman; the dots connecting Motown and the Oklahoma football program have been few and far between.

In fairness it could be said the Sooner program hasn't been all too active in the blue collar city that is made famous by it's automobiles. However that is one thing defensive secondary coach Willie Martinez hopes to change as pursuit of Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech cornerback Terry Richardson continues.

"Yes most definitely. I talked to coach Martinez a lot on Facebook and they you know I've talked to coach Bob Stoops probably like three times on Facebook. Oklahoma is doing pretty good," Richardson said.
