Michigan LB excited about offer
Michigan linebacker Jamal Lyles is off to a good start in the recruiting process with a handful of early scholarship offers to his name. The latest came just this past week as the 6-foot-3, 215-pound Lyles picked up an offer from the Iowa Hawkeyes after their coaching staff paid a visit to Southfield-Lathrup High School on Thursday.
Along with the Hawkeyes, Lyle's offer list currently includes Illinois, Cincinnati, Toledo, and Western Michigan.
On the football field, the Class of 2012 prospect is a versatile player who finished with 90 tackles, including 11 tackles for loss, as a junior last season. He also caught 13 passes for 350 yards on offense, but most college coaches think his future is on the defensive side of the ball.
