Memphis' Redmond talks Tennessee

Memphis athlete Will Redmond wasn't a well-known commodity in recruiting circles before this spring. Going into the month of May, he had just three offers to his name.

Plenty has changed since then. A little over a month later, the 6-foot-, 180-pound safety has 15 offers and don't be surprised to see more come in. He and teammate Brian Kimbrow recently returned to the Bluff City from a major road trip where they visited half a dozen camps.

"It was great. I just stood out at all the camps and it was great and a lot of coaches are looking at me more. They were already looking at me, but now they're looking at me even more and want me to be a part of their program. So, it was great," Redmond said.

His other offers at this point include Notre Dame, Clemson, North Carolina, Virginia and Mississippi State.

Now, he's just a few weeks from narrowing things down and having a top group moving into the season.

"I'll start after we take this long trip. We're going to be gone for eight days and when we come back we're going to narrow it down," Redmond added.

That long trip includes stops at several potential suitors such as Clemson, North Carolina, Miami, Florida State, Kentucky, Louisville, Notre Dame and possibly LSU.
