A game of momentum

Saturday's contest with border state rival Maryland was clearly a game of momentum, as West Virginia was on the plus side in the first-half and early into the third quarter racing out to a 34-10 lead.

But the Terrapins battled back and scored 21 unanswered points to cut the score to only three, before the Mountaineers were able to drive the field kick a field goal, and ultimately seal the game on Eain Smith's interception with 1:13 left to play.

And it's the effort closing the game that Head Coach Dana Holgorsen was pleased with out of his group.
