Finally a win to discuss.  Are the Huskies a great team? No, but they are decent and a bowl team, which is saying something based on the prior wins.

They could have quit after the dreadful performance in San Francisco, but they showed grit and battled back.

Senior Day is always a bittersweet day.  I fully admit that it is tough to see some of these guys move on.  Guys that I've had the pleasure of covering since their junior or senior years in high school.  It was fitting to see James Rodgers break the all time reception record, and with one game to go he could break the touchdown record as well. He truly is an all-time Beaver great.

I'm not sure what was different on Saturday, but a lot of things were clicking on offense.  Not perfect, but clicking still the same.  We saw a return to that 'balanced attack' with 31 rushes and 37 passes.

The rushing totals were padded slightly with Markus Wheaton's 56 yarder from the fly sweep, but 145 net yards isn't bad.  Jovan Stevenson had a solid day and Terron Ward showed some things as well.

Ten Beavers caught passes against the Huskies, which should be a big sign to the recruits who were in town that Oregon State isn't afraid to air it out and gets guys involved, whether it be a running back, receiver or tight end.

484 total yards is impressive, but the number that I circled was 6-7 in red zone scoring with five of those being touchdowns.  They will need a similar percentage this week against the Ducks.

What's the prescription for a staggering offense?  Take two aspirin's and a one Nick Holt defense and see how you feel in the morning.
