Bright lights, big city, next game

Perhaps no team in America has caught more people off guard than the Missouri Tigers. Through seven games, the Tigers are unbeaten, winning every night by an average of more than 25 points and now ranked No. 10 in both polls.

If the Tigers were a surprise, they are no longer a secret. And on Tuesday night, the country's biggest early season stunner will be on the sport's biggest stage. Mizzou faces Villanova at Madison Square Garden as part of the Jimmy V Classic.

"The Garden, obviously, is one of the biggest basketball venues in the world to play in," Marcus Denmon said. "It's something that we're looking forward to…Look forward to playing a good Villanova team."

None of the current Tigers have ever played at MSG, though Kim English has been there. Head coach Frank Haith has played at the so-called "World's Most Famous Arena."

"Big game. Big game," Haith said. "But I don't want our guys to put more on that game. It's the most important game on our schedule only because it's our next game. And we've talked to our guys about that.

"It is a neat place and what it stands for so I'm sure they'll be excited about the opportunity."
