Tulsa Team Report: Postseason

To finish the regular season with a bowl invitation and eight wins seemed impossible for Tulsa at the end of September. But here is the Golden Hurricane, in the Armed Forces Bowl against BYU.

First-year head coach Bill Blankenship faced an opening month of the season that was unbelievably difficult, both on the field and off of it.

The season started with the suspension of Damaris Johnson, who set the NCAA record for all-purpose yards last season and was supposed to guide Tulsa's young wideouts this season. He never played a game in what would have been his senior year.
